About Bacosane®
A standardized, multi-bioactive extract of Bacopa monnieri developed by Star Hi Herbs for cognitive health, memory, focus and stress-support formulations.
A standardized multi-bioactive Bacopa monnieri extract
Bacosane® is a natural standardized extract derived from Bacopa monnieri containing bacosides and bacopasides, in addition to asiatic acid and bhramic acid, standardized to eight defined bioactives across triterpenoid saponins, sapogenins, lactones, and triterpenoid acids.
Bacosane® plays a protective role in the synaptic functions of the nerves in the hippocampus—the seat of memory—where degeneration is believed to contribute to impaired cognition and concentration. Rather than positioning Bacopa solely through one isolated molecule, Bacosane® is built around a broader multi-bioactive profile. Its naturally occurring constituents are selected and standardized to provide consistent ingredient quality while preserving the complementary phytochemical composition of the botanical source.
Bacosane® is available in bacoside-standardized grades ranging from 10% to 50%, allowing formulators to select a concentration based on product format, serving size and positioning requirements. Explore complete chemistry & individual bioactive profiles →
Multi-bioactive composition
Standardized to eight defined bioactives (including bacosides, sapogenins, lactones, and triterpenoid acids)—providing a comprehensive phytochemical foundation for memory and cognitive positioning.
Research-led development
Approximately three years of in-vitro and in-vivo preclinical research evaluating antioxidant activity, neurological pathways, stress-related behaviour and safety.
Protected intellectual property
Covered by granted US Patent US 12,357,924 B2 with India Application 202141036735 and PCT Application PCT/IB2021/059307.
Consistent standardization
Multiple bacoside concentrations let manufacturers balance potency, serving size, cost and finished-product positioning.
