EPM, open-field, actophotometer and light-dark models at 50 and 100 mg/kg reported dose-dependent effects.
Bacosane® evaluated for antioxidant activity
DPPH radical-scavenging assay recorded an IC50 of 150.50 µg/mL for Bacosane® vs 87.25 µg/mL for BHT.
Acute and 28-day safety studies completed
No mortality or apparent toxicity in albino rats at tested doses, with no significant therapy-related differences.
